Storm Edge Rangers 3-2 in Overtime

Matt Finn scored the game-winning goal at the 1:04 mark of overtime to give the Guelph Storm a 3-2 win over the Kitchener Rangers.

Zack Mitchell got around the Rangers defence to open up scoring at 6:55 of the first period to give the Storm a 1-0 lead. The remainder of the period was scoreless.

Jason Akeson beat Storm netminder Brandon Foote at the 19:37 mark of the second to tie the game at 1-1. Guelph's Tyler Carroll buried a wrist shot with just 1-second left in the period to regain the lead for the Storm.

Jamie Doornbosch scored the lone goal of the third period for the Rangers to tie the game at 2-2 and force overtime.

The Storm's Finn netted a rebound at the 1:04 mark of overtime to make it 3-2.

The Rangers travel to Guelph tomorrow - Saturday, December 18th for a 2:00pm game versus the Storm. They return to home ice after the Christmas break on Wednesday, December 29th to host the Windsor Spitfires. Game time is 7:30 pm.
