***GAME TIME CHANGE- SUNDAY, JANUARY 11th @ 3:00 pm***
Undefeated in 2009, the Storm won all four games last week and picked up eight of a possible eight points. Tuesday night in their first game back at the Sleeman Centre since the Christmas Break, the Storm defeated the Oshawa Generals 5-4. Storm netminder Francis Dupuis made his first OHL start and picked up his first ever victory turning aside 24 shots. Friday night Michael Latta scored twice and the Storm tallied six times while first star of the game Jake Fischer surrendered only three as Storm defeated the Attack 6-3.
Saturday night in Plymouth defenceman Nathan Martine scored his first of the year and the winning goal of the game to lift his team over the Whalers 5-4. Peter Holland, Tim Priamo, Luke Pither and Matt Kennedy also tallied in the win. On Sunday in Saginaw a shootout was needed to decide the winner. Brandon Buck scored the lone goal in the shootout to award his team the 4-3 victory and the important two points over the Spirit. J.P Labardo continued his hot point streak, scoring his fifth of the year while Holland and Kennedy buried the other two markers.
With eight points last week, the Storm improved their record to 23-13-2-3. Currenly in second place in the MidWest Division with 51 points, the Storm sit eight behind the leading London Knights.
