Omaha Storm Chasers News Release
OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha Storm Chasers will play What If? on August 18th and become the Omahogs for one night only when they take on the Nashville Sounds at 7:05 p.m. Fans will be able to bid on the jerseys worn by the players during the game while a select number of jerseys will be available via e-Bay and those auctions will end at 11 a.m. on August 19th.
"This game will be a fun look for our fans at what could have been," said the Omaha Storm Chasers President and General Manager Martie Cordaro. "We are excited to hear what the fans reactions will be upon seeing the Omahogs take the field for the first and only time."
Those who are in attendance on the 18th will be able to bid on a majority of the uniforms that will be worn and autographed by the players and coaches while anyone will be able to place a bid on the jerseys that are placed on e-Bay. The six Omahogs jerseys scheduled to be placed on e-Bay currently are Adam Moore, Anthony Seratelli, Derrick Robinson, Jake Odorizzi, Mike Jirschele and Wil Myers.
The name came from a list of over 1,400 fan-submitted names that were submitted in August and September of 2010. That list was whittled down to 24 and then to nine names for the fans to vote upon, with Omahogs being one of the final nine.
In an effort to help fans prepare for What If? night, Omahogs hats and jerseys can be purchased at the Storm Front Gift Shop starting August 7th.
To attend What If? night or other any game or event at Werner Park please call the Werner Park Ticket Office at (402) 738-5100 or visit www.omahastormchasers.com.
