STORM and Lightning Game Lives up to Hype

(Summerside, PE) It was a game everyone was looking forward to and it didn't disappoint as the London Lightning needed overtime to beat the Summerside STORM 118-114 in front of over 3,000 at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario Saturday night. The two teams have played twice so far this year, each winning on their home court.

Josiah Turner of the STORM nailed a jumper as time was running down in regulation to send the teams into overtime where London got off to a quick start and maintained the lead through to the end.

Brandon Robinson scored 28 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to lead the STORM while Josiah Turner scored 21 to go along with 7 assists and Greg Plummer had 16 points and 7 rebounds. Marvin Lewis of the Lightning had a huge night by leading all scorers with 28 points and 19 rebounds.

The STORM play next at home on March 5th as they finish their regular season with five straight home games. The March 5th game is against Saint John, March 8th vs Oshawa, March 10th vs Halifax, March 14th vs London, and March 16th Halifax. All are potential playoff previews as teams continue to jockey for play-off positions.
