Omari Johnson Healthy Scratch against London Tonight
February 23, 2013 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
Summerside Storm News Release
(Summerside, PE) The Summerside STORM issued the following statement this evening:
Omari Johnson will be a healthy scratch for tonight's game against the London Lightning for breaking the teams code of conduct.
STORM Head Coach and V-P of Player Personnel had this to say about the suspension to Johnson:
"I am disappointed with Omari. We have team policies in place for a reason and hold our players to high standards. Some other guys will have to step up in his absence tonight in what is a big game for us."
Tonight's game in London sees the number one team in the league, the Lightning, playing against the leagues number two team in the STORM. A large crowd is expected for tonight's game with the Lightning looking to avenge a 19 point loss at the hands of the STORM in January.
The game tonight can be seen live via webcast by visiting the STORM website.
