
Stockton Kings Defeat the Ontario Clippers, 107-102

The Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings (3-4), defeated the Ontario Clippers (5-2), 107-102 on Saturday night at Adventist Health Arena (formerly Stockton Arena).
The Stockton Kings started the game shooting 54% on their first 11 attempts from the floor giving them a five-point lead with 5:31 remaining in the first quarter. Stockton Kings guard Colby Jones led the team with nine points (3-3 FG, 100%) and two rebounds in the first quarter of play. Forward Deonte Burton also recorded five points, three rebounds, one assists and one steal. At the end of the first quarter the Kings trailed by two points, 30-28.
The second quarter was a back-and-forth contest that saw six lead changes and four ties. Stockton Kings guard Jeremy Lamb led the team in second quarter points with seven, while guards Jalen Slawson and Colby Jones both added five points. In the first half the Kings shot 47.2% FG, 31.6% 3PT, and recorded 22 points in the paint to the Ontario Clippers 14. At halftime, the game was tied, 49-49.
In the third quarter, Stockton Kings guard Kalob Ledoux drained a three-pointer following an assist from Kings guard Jordan Ford giving the Kings their largest lead of the game at 12 points. The Kings shot 68.8% FG and converted four turnovers into seven points. In the fourth quarter, an 11-4 run by the Clippers tied the game at 86. However, the Kings responded with an 11-2 run to take a 102-92 lead with 2:49 remining in regulation. Lamb led the Kings in scoring with nine points (3-5 FG, 2-3 3PT) and two assists in the fourth quarter. Center Chance Comanche also led all players in rebounds in the fourth with five. A late layup by Burton helped seal the win for Stockton 102-107.
Overall, the Stockton Kings were led in scoring by Lamb who finished with a game high 25 points (8-17 FG, 47%) and five rebounds, giving him his fourth twenty-plus point scoring performance of the season. Meanwhile, Comanche recorded 14 points and eight rebounds in 21 minutes, Jones contributed 20 points, and Burton finished the night with 22 points.
Ontario Clippers forward Jordan Miller finished with 23 points (9-14 FG, 64.2%) and three rebounds. Clippers forward Xavier Moon and guard Elijah Harkless both recorded 20 points and center Bryson Williams scored 10 points with a game-high 10 assists.
The Stockton Kings will host the G League Ignite at Adventist Health Arena on Friday, December 1 at 7:00 PM PST.
