Stockton Assigns Michael Kirkpatrick to Adirondack

The Stockton Heat, American Hockey League affiliate of the Adirondack Thunder, have assigned forward Michael Kirkpatrick to Adirondack.

Kirkpatrick, 25, played four years in the QMJHL all with the Saint John Sea Dogs, amassing 266 games and recording 251 points. During his final season with the Sea Dogs, Kirkpatrick helped his team to a QMJHL championship and contributed to their eventual Memorial Cup victory over the OHL's Mississauga St. Michael's Majors. Kirkpatrick finished the tournament with a goal and four assists.

The following season, Kirkpatrick attended St. Francis Xavier University where the North Sydney, Nova Scotia native scored 102 points in 108 CIS games. The 5,10", 174 lb. forward was named the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) conference's Rookie of the Year award and to the CIS All-Rookie team. During his final season, Kirkpatrick posted a CIS high of 34 points and was named to the AUS Second All-Star Team
