
Grizzlies Announce Training Camp Roster

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies have announced their initial training camp roster for the 2015-2016 season. The team will open training camp at 10:30 a.m. at the Utah Olympic Oval. Complete training camp information is below.
Head Coach/General Manager Tim Branham enters his third year in Utah after leading the Grizzlies to their eighth-straight playoff appearance and a 37-27-8 record in 2014-2015. Utah is 75-51-17 under Branham and has qualified for the postseason nine times in the last ten years.
The Grizzlies will host Idaho in preseason action on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Utah Olympic Oval. Tickets for the game at the Oval are available for $10. Parking is included in the ticket price. There will be a Post-Game Skate with the Grizzlies after the preseason game. Skate rental will be $3. For more information on ticketing and the game, visit, http://utaholympiclegacy.org/oval/.
The initial roster returns nine forwards with Grizzlies experience and 12 players total from previous Grizzlies rosters. Six of the seven defensemen have professional experience. Ten of eleven forwards have all played professionally as have both goaltenders.
Six players on this roster have also appeared in camps with AHL teams so far. Mathieu Aubin, Brent Gwidt and Riley Armstrong live year-round in Salt Lake City.
The Grizzlies home opening weekend is Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24 against the Allen Americans.

Goaltenders
Bryan Hogan: 52-25-2 at University of Michigan from 2007-2011, played last three seasons in Europe.
Eric Levine: Led Utah goaltenders with a .922 save percentage in 2014-2015. Had 1.92 GAA and .923 save percentage in playoffs.
Forwards
Barry Almeida: 13 goals and 27 assists for 40 points in 55 games for Utah in 2014-2015.
Riley Armstrong: 16 goals and 23 assists for 39 points in 40 career games with Utah in 2010 and 2012-2013. Currently in camp with the Los Angeles Kings AHL affiliate in Ontario, California.
Mathieu Aubin: Led Utah in scoring in 2014-2015 with 26 goals and 42 assists for 68 points in 72 games after finishing third in scoring in 2013-2014.
Matt Berry: Assigned by Ducks organization. 12 goals and 17 assists for 29 points in 29 games with Michigan State last year.
Alex Gallant: 99 penalty minutes in 22 games with Utah last season.
Brent Gwidt: Entering 4th year in Utah after serving as team captain at University of Nebraska-Omaha.
Josh MacDonald: 49 goals and 37 assists for 86 points in 107 games from 2013-2015 in final two seasons with OHL's Peterborough Petes.
Alex MacMillan: Three assists in eight games with Utah after college last season and six games in AHL with Ducks organization.
T.J. Syner: 15 goal and 16 assists for 31 points in 45 games with Utah last year and eight points in 11 playoff games on two goals and six assists.
Ryan Walters: 20 goals and 23 assists for 43 points in 46 games with Alaska last season and played 20 games with Minnesota's AHL affiliate in Iowa and had one goal and seven assists.
Brenden Walker: 12 goals and ten assists for 22 points in 20 regular season/playoff games with Utah last year after being acquired from Gwinnett.
Camden Wojtala: Played in 62 regular season games and all 11 playoff games for Grizzlies in 2014-2015. He was the Grizzlies sixth leading scorer after December 10 with eight goals and 19 assists for 27 points the final 47 games of the season.
Defensemen
Jason Binkley: Eight goals and 60 assists for 68 points in 156 games at Ferris State, played seven games with South Carolina of ECHL after college last season with one goal and one assist.
Corey Fienhage: Led Utah with a plus-eleven after being acquired from Bakersfield and playing final 37 games of regular season and all 11 playoff games with Utah.
Connor Hardowa: Five goals and 16 assists for 21 points in 55 games with Utah last season, and had two goals and one assist for three points in eleven playoff games.
Steven Hoshaw: Played four games with Tulsa in ECHL last season after finishing college at American International College.
Mike MacIntyre: 32 games with Wichita of ECHL last season with one goal and six assists. Has played in 180 professional games.
Phil Pietroniro: Rookie had three goals and 33 assists for Victoriaville of QMJHL last season and was seventh in league in scoring by defensemen.
Shayne Taker: Led Cincinnati with a plus-14 in 2014-2015 and had three goals and 12 assists for 15 points in 58 games. Currently with Ducks AHL affiliate in San Diego.
