Iowa Wolves News Release

DES MOINES, IA, Feb. 23, 2010 - When the Iowa Energy host the Reno BigHorns tonight in Des Moines, there will be a few familiar faces on the court. In particular, the point guard matchup will be of interest to many Iowa State University fans as the Energy's Curtis Stinson will match up with Reno's Will Blalock tonight at 7pm.

Stinson, who was named the NBA D-League's Player of the Week recently, has made the switch to point guard after his collegiate career ended. The transition has been seamless as Stinson is actively being looked at by several NBA teams and leads the D-League in assists (10.3 per game). The 6'3" guard is also averaging 14.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game for the 29-6 Energy.

Blalock, who ran the point guard position at Iowa State, was recently traded from Maine to Reno. He spent part of one season with the Detroit Pistons in the NBA before finding his way to the D-League. Blalock enters tonight's game averaging 10.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game.

Reno also features former Iowa Hawkeye and Iowa Energy player Doug Thomas, who is averaging 8.5 points and 6.7 rebounds for the BigHorns.

Tonight' game is a "Two for One Tuesday" meaning all sideline tickets are only $10!
