Idaho Stampede News Release
BOISE, ID - FEBRUARY 23, 2010 - The Idaho Stampede announces today it is launching an online auction with local company, Auction Frogs. This online auction is a first for the Idaho Stampede and the team is excited to extend items available for bidding to fans across the globe. The online auction for the Idaho Stampede Community Foundation will launch March 1st through March 20th.
"We are thrilled to host an online auction to raise money for the Idaho Stampede Community Foundation," said Stampede President Steve Brandes. "Anyone who donates can be proud their contribution will directly impact the youth of the Treasure Valley."
The Idaho Stampede has found new and innovative ways to raise funds for its Community Foundation without adding staff or additional overhead by using Auction Frogs, an Idaho-based start-up that specializes online fundraising for charitable organizations, to create a simple, yet effective fundraising effort. By hosting an auction online, organizations are able to lengthen the bidding period, increase the pool of bidders and earn more revenue for their cause.
"The Idaho Stampede has the perfect model to raise significant funds for its programs through an online auction because of their dedicated fan base, social media connections, excellent business relationships and reputation," says Kristi Saucerman, Founder and CEO of Auction Frogs. "We offer a web based solution that brings fans, business sponsors, friends and families throughout the program and simply a nationwide community, to the auction website offering a variety of items to bid on. The online auction allows them to tap into audiences that otherwise wouldn't have participated in a local fundraiser."
"We are offering traditional sports items such as jerseys, basketballs, and tickets," said Brandes. However, we are excited to also offer unique items and experiences such as playing a game of H.O.R.S.E. with 2008 NBA Development League H.O.R.S.E. Champion, Lance Allred, or the opportunity to be a ball boy/girl for a game. The items aren't something you can place a monetary value on. These are exclusive experiences that will last a lifetime."
About Auction Frogs Auction Frogs is a leader in online fundraising for charitable causes providing an unmatched marketing opportunity for businesses, a simplified fundraising experience for organizations, with easy to use and easy to bid features for supporters of the cause.
