South Carolina Stingrays News Release
The Stingrays opened up their 15th Year of hockey in the Low Country on Saturday night at home against the Columbia Inferno. Behind seven goals from seven different Stingrays, the Rays defeated the Inferno 7-3 in front of a crowd of over 8,000 fans.
On Sunday, the team traveled to Augusta to face the Lynx. Two more goals were scored by two different Stingrays, but the last second goal by John Laliberte with just 56 seconds left to play gave the Lynx a 3-2 victory.
The Rays ended the weekend with 1-1-0 record for 2 points. This weekend, the Stingrays had goals from nine different players. Those players were Tim Judy, Matt Scherer, Grant McNeill, Cail MacLean, Travis Morin, Chris Chaput, Bryan Esner, Nate Kiser, and Steve Pinizzotto.

Travis Morin, Pierre-Luc O'Brien, and Paul McIlveen are all tied for fifth place among rookies for points with three.
Travis Morin is third among rookies for shots with ten.
Grant McNeill is currently the only defenseman with a short-handed goal, ranking him first.
The Stingrays Power Play is 9th in the league at 17.6%. The Penalty Kill is 14th in the league at 83.3%.
Stingrays Add Andricopoulos
The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach Jared Bednar announced today the signing of defenseman Andrew Andricopoulos. In keeping with club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. Full Story
Season Ticket Pick-up Information:

Game Time Change:
The Stingrays game against the Johnstown Chiefs on Saturday, Oct. 27th has been moved from the previously announced 7:05 p.m. to 5:05 p.m. Please note that the broadcast will begin at 4:50 p.m. with Voice of the Rays, Josh Heller, on ESPN Radio 910 the Team following the Citadel football game.
This Week:
The South Carolina Stingrays take on the Johnstown Chiefs at 10:35a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24th. The game will be broadcast live on CNN 1450am beginning at 10:20 a.m. Fans can also listen live on www.stingrayshockey.com.
On Friday, Oct. 26th, the Stingrays will battle the Wheeling Nailers. Game time is at 7:35pm with the Benito's Pre-Game Show with Josh Heller beginning at 7::20pm on the Real 1340am.
The South Carolina Stingrays travel back to Johnstown to take on the Chiefs, this time at 5:05 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27th. Please note that this is a change from the originally scheduled 7:05 p.m. game. Tonight's game can be heard live on ESPN Radio 910 the Team starting at 4:50 p.m.
The Stingrays complete their four-game road trip with a stop in Elmira to face the Jackals. The game will start at 4:05 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28th and will be broadcasted live on ESPN Radio 910 the Team. This is the first year for the Jackals in the ECHL.
The Stingrays FINALLY return to home ice on Tuesday, Oct. 30th at 7:05 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum. It's Trick-or-Treat with the Rays Night as the entire team will be at tables around the concourse following the game to hand out candy. Don't forget your costume!
