Frischmon On Board With Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - General manager and head coach of the Charlotte Checkers, Derek Wilkinson, announced today that the team has agreed to terms with forward, Trevor Frischmon.

Frischmon, 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, started this season in the American Hockey League playing one game with the Syracuse Crunch and registered an assist. He split last year's season with both the Crunch and the ECHL's Dayton Bombers. In 33 games for Syracuse, he garnered seven assists and in Dayton he played 24 games racking up five goals and eights assists for 13 points.

Frischmon is expected in the lineup tonight as the Checkers battle the Augusta Lynx at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice at Charlotte Bobcats arena at 7:00 p.m.

The Checkers began their 15th season of play as a member of the ECHL. The next home game takes place on Oct. 23 against the Augusta Lynx. In the team's 14-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 10 times including three consecutive playoff appearances to date. The Checkers will enter their third season of play at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice at Charlotte Bobcats Arena this fall. Season tickets are on sale now with full-season packages starting at just $399.
