RoadRunners' Sisca Named In Glas Co Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Phoenix center Daniel Sisca is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for Oct. 18-21.

Sisca had four goals, including two power-play goals and one shorthand goal, two assists and a plus-minus rating of +4 to help the RoadRunners go 3-0-0 with three home wins against Utah. It is the first time in its three-year history that Phoenix has opened the season 3-0-0 and won three consecutive home games.

After scoring a shorthand goal in a 4-2 win on Oct. 19, the 5-foot-9 and 160-pound Sisca scored the game-winning goal on the power play goal and had an assist in a 6-0 win on Oct. 20. He ended the week scoring three points on two goals, including a power-play goal, and an assist in a 6-2 win on Oct. 21.

The native of Woodbridge, Ontario played in Italy last season with Milan where he had 24 points (9g-15a) and 26 penalty minutes in 32 regular season games and two points (1g-1a) and 14 penalty minutes in nine playoff games.

The 24 year old played for the Florida Everblades in 2005-06 and was selected to the ECHL All-Star Game and the ECHL All-Rookie Team after finishing second among league rookies and tied for seventh overall with 79 points (29g-50a) in 71 regular season games. He also played in the Kelly Cup Playoffs for the Everblades and had four points (2g-2a) and 12 penalty minutes in seven games.

On behalf of Daniel Sisca, a case of pucks will be donated to a Phoenix area youth hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck supplier for the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, In Glas Co has donated more than 18,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
