
Stingrays Weekly: Stingrays Prepare for Three-Game Road Trip

The South Carolina Stingrays hosted the Trenton Titans and Elmira Jackals this week for a record of 2-1-0-0. The Stingrays and Titans collided Friday evening at the North Charleston Coliseum with the Titans taking a 3-1 victory. The loss snapped a nine-game winning streak for the Stingrays. The two teams met again Saturday night with the home team prevailing 2-0. Stingrays defenseman Brett Flemming and forward Pierre -Luc O'Brien lit the lamp and goaltender Daren Machesney made 21 saves. Sunday afternoon marked the final game of the regular season between the Stingrays and Jackals. Forwards Maxime Lacroix and O'Brien each netted a goal and an assist and forward Trent Campbell added two assists as the Stingrays prevailed 4-3 in the shootout.

Taking the Lead
The Stingrays are third in the South Division with 54 points and fifth overall in the Eastern Conference.
Forward Trent Campbell is tied for first in the ECHL with three shorthanded assists.
Goaltender Philipp Grubauer ranks third in the ECHL with a 2.14 goals-against average and 17 wins and is fourth with a .922 save percentage.
Netminder Daren Machesney is sixth in the league with a 2.31 goals-against average.
Defenseman Johann Kroll is second in the ECHL and first among D-men with a +19 rating and tied for second among defensemen with two shorthanded points (1g, 1a).
Defenseman Zach Tarkir is tied for first among ECHL defensemen with three game-winning goals.
