Stingrays, Icethetics Announce Logo and Jersey Design Contest

August 24, 2016 - ECHL (ECHL)
South Carolina Stingrays News Release

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC- The South Carolina Stingrays are enlisting the hockey community to help design a special logo and jersey. The club has partnered with Icethetics for a contest that will allow fans and aspiring designers to win big prizes while creating a special 25th Anniversary logo and jersey the organization will use for the 2017-18 season.

The contest is underway via icethetics.co/stingrays and will be broken into two parts: The designing of the club's 25th Anniversary logo, followed by a jersey to be worn as the team's alternate in 2017-18. The winner(s) will get a free customized jersey, tickets to see the Stingrays playing in their jersey, and up to $500 to cover travel. While it is early to be looking ahead to the 2017-18 season, manufacturers need a large amount of time to produce jerseys and merchandise, and the Stingrays are eager to see submissions from the Lowcountry and across the hockey community.

Designers will have until September 5 at 8 p.m. to submit a 25th Anniversary logo design. After a fan vote of the finalists from September 12-18, the winning logo will be unveiled on September 19.

Following the unveiling of the winning logo, designers will then have from September 19-25 to design a special 25th Anniversary jersey. Following a fan vote of the finalists from October 3-9, the winning jersey will be unveiled October 10.

Complete rules and contest guidelines, as well as design elements are available at icethetics.co/stingrays.

The Stingrays' 24th season in the Lowcountry starts on October 22. 2016-17 Season Ticket Packages are on sale now featuring discounted pricing and great benefits! For more information, fans may call the Stingrays' offices at 843-744-2248 or visit StingraysHockey.com.
