PEORIA, Ill. – South Carolina Stingrays rookie winger Kevin Spiewak made a tremendous impression last night at the Par-A-Dice ECHL All-Star Skills Competition. Spiewak, a product of the University of North Dakota participated in three events, winning all three including the fastest skater competition.

Spiewak's time of 14.166 was nearly four tenths of a second faster than the next competitor. The rookie was also a part of the winning puck control relay team and made his shot on the breakaway relay to finish off a successful night.

"I think everyone that has seen us play this season has been able to see just how fast Kevin is," commented Stingrays Head Coach Jason Fitzsimmons. "I am happy that he was able to perform so well at the Skills Competition in front of the rest of the league and a great deal of scouts from the higher levels."
