
Stingrays Add Maiani

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced today that forward Anthony Maiani has been claimed off of waivers from the Colorado Eagles.
Maiani, 22, skated in one contest this season with the Eagles grabbing two penalty minutes. Currently in his first full professional campaign, the Shelby Township, Michigan, native recently completed a four-year career at the University of Denver registering 126 points (34g, 92a) in 158 games. During his senior season, Maiani was named to the All-WCHA Academic Team and to the Red Baron WCHA Final Five All-Tournament Team and received the Bob Martin Memorial Award for community service.
The Stingrays kickoff a five-game road trip starting Saturday, October 22 as they take on the Toledo Walleye at 7:00 p.m. at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio.
