
Wranglers Announce 2011-12 Promotional Schedule

Las Vegas, Nev. - The Las Vegas Wranglers, known for past promotions including "Rod Blagojevich Prison Jersey Night" and "Dick Cheney Hunting Vest Night," announced today their full promotional schedule for the 2011-12 season. The Wranglers' ninth season opens with "Rapture Night" on Friday, Oct. 21, at 7:05 p.m.
Two midnight games have been added to this season's schedule, with "Black Out at the Midnight Game" returning on Tuesday, Dec. 27 with monkeys on dogs herding sheep on the ice, and the debut of the "Wranglers Midnight Circus," featuring live performers throughout the Orleans Arena, on Sunday, Feb. 19.
Continuing with charitable traditions, the Wranglers will host a Teddy Bear Toss to benefit Sunrise Acres Elementary on Friday, Dec. 2, and two "Sing for Santa" nights that support local elementary school music programs on Saturday, Dec. 3 and Friday, Dec. 9. To honor police, firefighters and military personnel, "Heroes Night" will take place on Saturday, Feb. 4 and feature Spiderman live on the concourse. "Pink in the Rink" returns on Friday, Feb. 10, to benefit Susan G. Komen of Southern Nevada and St. Rose Dominican Health Foundation, and "St. Baldrick's Night" is planned for the ninth year in a row to help fight childhood cancers on Sunday, March 18.
For fans who like to walk on the wild side, a foul-mouthed bunny will headline "18+ Night" on Tuesday, Dec. 6, and fans under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian due to mild adult content. "Regrettable Tattoo Night" returns for a second year on Saturday, March 24, and the Wranglers will hold the "World's Largest Unwanted Gift Swap and Ugly Holiday Sweater Night" on Monday, Dec. 26.
Giveaways include "Trucker Hat and Mullet Wig Night" on Saturday, Nov. 12, "Kids Replica Jersey Night" on Saturday, Dec. 17 with a performance by Blue Man Group, "Friday the 13th T-Shirt Night" on Friday, Jan. 13, and "Team Trading Card Night" on Saturday, Feb. 18.
Throughout the season, there will be five post-game "Skate with the Wranglers" that are free and open to the public with limited skates available. Taking place primarily on Sundays, fans can join the team on the ice on Nov. 13, Feb. 12, March 18, and Monday, Jan. 16. Fans can also ice skate with Santa for $10 admission and skate rental on December 2, 3, 6, 8, 9, 16, 17, 20, 26 and 27.
Other promotions include an appearance by Dora the Explorer on Thursday, Oct. 27, and "Quick Change," a performance act featured on "America's Got Talent," on Saturday, Jan. 14. There will also be two "Flipping Singles" nights, where a heads-up coin flip gets you a free ticket and special mixer sections will be set up for single people to take part in wine specials and an intermission dating game, on Thursday, Dec. 8, and Thursday, Feb. 2.
As a final thank you to fans, Fan Appreciation Night wraps up the season on Saturday, March 31.

The Wranglers host Opening Night, billed as "The Last Professional Hockey Game on Earth," on Friday, Oct. 21 at 7:05 p.m. against Ontario Reign. 2011-12 season seat packages, starting at $30, are on sale now at 702-471-PUCK. The Wranglers play all 36 regular season home games at the Orleans Arena, located next to the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Ave.
