Nestrasil recalled by Grand Rapids - Matte placed on injured reserve

(Toledo, OH) - The Toledo Walleye and Head Coach Nick Vitucci announced today that forward Andrej Nestrasil (NES-tra-shil) has been recalled by the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL.

Andrej did not collect a point in Toledo's lone game this year. Nestrasil, a third round pick of the Red Wings in 2009, scored 57 goals with 121 assists in his last years in the QMJHL. This past season, Andrej put up 70 points (19g, 51a) in 58 games.

Additionally, left winger Brian Matte was placed on the 21-day injured reserve list today.

The Toledo Walleye will return home on Saturday, October 22 vs. South Carolina at the Huntington Center. The first 3,000 fans will receive a rally towel courtesy of Buckeye TeleSystem.
