Willmar Stingers News Release

THUNDER BAY--Due to inclement weather and unplayable field conditions, Saturday night's game between the Willmar Stingers and the Thunder Bay Border Cats has been postponed. As a result, the Stingers and Border Cats will play a pair of seven inning games tomorrow (July 7) starting at 5:05 pm at Port Arthur Stadium.

The Stingers will start Max Homick (San Diego) in the first seven-inning game and Andrew Woeck (NC State) in the night cap. Homick (1-2, 3.17 ERA) was stellar in his most recent start against Rochester. The left-hander pitched seven innings, limiting the Honkers to just two runs and four hits. Woeck (1-0, 3.85 ERA) also notched a victory over Rochester with a 7.0 inning performance in which he struck out eight batters.

The Stingers are 4-2 in double header games this season.

The 2013 season is presented by Charter. For more on your Willmar Stingers please visit the West Central Tribune at www.wctrib.com.
