Sting Hope to Stock the Shelves at Inn of the Good Shepherd this Saturday Night

The fifth annual Christmas at the Hive in support of the Inn of the Good Shepherd Sarnia is set for this Saturday afternoon when the Sarnia Sting host the Mississauga Steelheads at Progressive Auto Sales Arena, puck drop 4:05 PM EST.

The annual game will cap the Sarnia Sting's "Season of Giving" heading into the holidays. The boys from Sarnia will don specialty "Buddy the Elf" jerseys during Saturdays contest and fans are asked, if they are able to bring non-perishable food items and place them inside the donation bins at Gate 1,2 & 5 upon entry.

Select jerseys will be auctioned off live, on-ice following the game while the remainder will be available for bid online at auction.chl.ca. All proceeds from the jersey auction will go to support our local Inn of the Good Shepherd.

"This one is a no-brainer for us, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to use our platform and with the support of our fans be able to give to the local Inn of the Good Shepherd. The work they do to help those who need it in this community is remarkable and this is one small way we can assist." Comments Sting President Bill Abercrombie.

"We were able to lend a hand earlier today with a couple of our players and to see the need firsthand is something people really don't realize. It was certainly an eye-opener and we encourage anyone who his able to help any way they can. "Abercrombie adds.

Fans are reminded that Saturday's game is a 4:05 pm start time and can secure their seats in-person or by calling the Mainstreet Credit Union Sarnia Sting Box Office at 519 541 1717.
