
Sting Announce Three Additions to Hockey Operations Department

Sarnia, ON. - The Sarnia Sting are excited to announce three additions to the Hockey Club's Hockey Operations Department including Michigan Scout Steve Shafer, Strength and Conditioning Coach Tyson Slack, and Assistant Equipment Manager Darren Smales.
Steve Shafer will be joining the team's scouting staff and will be based out of Michigan.
On the addition of Shafer, General Manager Dylan Seca comments:
"As a current coach in the Little Caesars program, a former minor hockey player with the Detroit HoneyBaked and a former collegiate hockey player at Canisius College, Steve brings a tireless work ethic and dedication to the sport."
In addition to Shafer, Tyson Slack joins the Sting as a Strength and Conditioning Coach.
"Tyson is well-respected in the Sarnia-Lambton area, and we're excited to have him support our players in this crucial area of player development." comments Seca.
Finally, Darren Smales joins the Hockey Club as the Assistant Equipment Manager after working with the St. Marys Lincolns of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL).
"Darren brings an infectious positive attitude and work ethic which we know will be a great addition to the Hockey Club" adds Seca.
