Niagara IceDogs News Release
It's the start of a new week, and we want to thank everyone for coming out to our First Responders night on Thursday! We also want to thank everyone who donated food to the food drive, as well as those who participated in our jersey auction following the game. Proceeds raised from both of those will be going to a great cause in Community Care St. Catharines!
The game itself was a back-and-forth affair, with neither team willing to back down when facing a deficit. Both teams traded goals until Pasquale Zito gave the Dogs a 3-2 lead early in the third, but we were unable to hang on as Erie tied it and scored the winning goal in overtime. Once again, Niagara showed they will not go down without a fight as they trailed twice in the game, but came back to tie it up both times. It was another exciting game in which the boys put up a great effort!
Over the weekend the team travelled to Sarnia and Windsor to take on the Sting and the Spitfires, back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday. It was a tough Western Conference trip against two very solid teams, and we were unable to get a win. Pano Fimis led the way this weekend, scoring three goals and adding an assist, while Aidan Castle, Juan Copeland and David Jesus all had three points apiece. The team has a couple days off to rest up and tend to those bumps and bruises before getting a chance to bounce back later this week!
Next up is another back-to-back right here at home, on Thursday the 27th versus London and Friday the 28th versus Windsor! Thursday night will be our only game against London this season, so make sure to get your tickets to watch us take on the Knights!
Friday's game is our Halloween night, and we want to see everyone dressed up in their wildest costumes! We are going to be showcasing some of our favourites on the video board all night long, and we'll be having our annual Halloween March for those dressed in costume at the first intermission!
Tickets are still available for single games, flex packs, or the full season package as well! Want to bring a bunch of friends, co-workers or teammates out to a game? We have group ticket rates starting at just $15/ticket in our Bronze or Silver sections! Click here to purchase tickets online, or contact myself at e.didomenico@niagaraiceogs.net or call in to our office TODAY for more information, and to lock in your seats now!
