Sternschein Commits to Penn State University

Lincoln, Neb. - Sam Sternschein committed to Penn State University, he announced via Twitter on Wednesday.

"After my visit to Penn State, it was a no brainer," Sternschein said. "From the coaching staff to the facilities, I knew it was where I wanted to play college hockey."

Sternschein is in his second full USHL season. The 6'1" 204 pound forward has 35 points in 86 career games. He has 20 points in 21 games since joining the Stars in November.

Sternschein becomes the 20th Division I college commit on the Stars roster. The 1998 birth year will join former Stars Peyton Jones and Trevor Hamilton at Penn State University. The Nittany Lions are currently ranked 4th in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.
