
SteelHounds Christian and Richards Dominate CHL "Best of the Best" Poll

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown SteelHounds, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League (CHL), announced today the final results of the league's annual "Best of the Best" poll. The poll is tabulated by a points system from results of ballots submitted by each team's coach, players and broadcast/media contact.
The SteelHounds earned representation in nine of the 46 categories with Jeff Christian earning top three recognition in seven categories, Chris Richards winning a spot in three categories and the Hounds public address announcer and dance team honored as well.
Christian currently leads the CHL in points with 104 and is considered by many to be the front-runner for the league's Most Valuable Player award. He was voted the best in the league in two categories including Best Overall Player and Best on Power Play. He also ranked among the top three in the categories of Smartest Player, Best Stickhandler, Best Power Forward, Best Playmaker and Best Leader.
Richards is second in the league to Christian in points with 102 and is having his best professional season. He finished first place in the categories Best Playmaker and Best Stickhandler and finished second to Christian as Best on the Power Play.
Other SteelHounds representation included the Lady SteelHounds placing third in the Best Cheerleaders category and public address announcer Ryan Pritt finishing second in the category of Best PA Announcer.
