Brampton Steelheads News Release

Mississauga, ONT - There will be some crossover for Steelheads captain and Toronto Maple Leafs prospect, Stuart Percy this season. Earlier this summer the Mississauga Steelheads announced that they are proud to wear the iconic Leafs Blue and White for the upcoming season. It will be an exciting experience for Stuart as the Mississauga Steelheads will now sport the look of his National Hockey League (NHL) team. Nothing ties a hockey community together better than a local player, who is playing for the local Ontario Hockey League (OHL) team, and has been signed to and NHL contract by the local team.

The 6'1", 195lb defenseman and Oakville native was selected 25th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Stuart is going into his 4th OHL season in Mississauga, playing 150 games and recording 77 points.

Now the Steelheads are standing out as they build a strong tie to Mississauga and its surrounding areas. In an effort to promote the team and its ties to the city, the Steelheads have developed a promotional cut out that will feature a life-sized Stuart Percy image, which will be distributed to rinks, community centers, libraries, and retail facilities across the city.

Leafs fans can watch the Steelheads in a fun and exciting environment at the Hershey Centre this season. Steelheads season tickets start as low as $399, visit www.mississaugasteelheads.com for more information. Catch Stuart and the rest of the team this preseason at the following exhibition games:
