
White Trounces Blue In Annual Blue-White Game

Brady Vail had two goals and two assists, as Team White thumped Team Blue 11-0 in the 2012 Blue-White game at the WFCU Centre on Thursday night.
Ben Johnson had a pair of goals and added a helper, while Sam Studnicka and John Bowen each scored twice, as Team White tallied three goals in the first, three in the second and five more in the third.
Danny Elser, Nick Ebert and Michael Clarke had the other goals.
Jordan DeKort was outstanding in goal for Team White, stopping all 30 shots he faced in the first 40 minutes.
Robert Kopytek-MacKenzie and Dalen Kuchmey weren't so fortunate.
RKM was torched for eight goals on just 24 shots in the final two periods, while Kuchmey allowed three goals on 15 shots in the first, before stopping all 10 he faced for Team White in relief of DeKort in the third.
The Spitfires are off to Wyandotte, Michigan for their first exhibition game of the season against the Plymouth Whalers Saturday night at 7PM.
The teams wrap up the home-and-home with a return date at the WFCU Centre on Labour Day Monday at 2PM.
Our lineup for Saturday's game will be released on Friday.
