STEELHEADS: Steelheads Add Five Players to Training Camp Roster

Boise, ID (10/9/16) -The Steelheads have added five players to their training camp roster as of Sunday. There are now 23 players in camp.

Forwards Anthony Luciani, Rob Linsmayer, Will Merchant, and Joe Basaraba, as well as defenseman Charlie Dodero, were released form their tryouts with AHL Texas on Saturday and arrived in Boise on Sunday. All five are under ECHL contract with Idaho.

Linsmayer and Basaraba were members of the 2015-16 Steelheads team, while Dodero returns to Idaho after playing 77 games with the Steelheads from 2013 to 2015. Luciani joins the Steelheads for the first time after agreeing to terms over the summer, as does the rookie Merchant.

The Steelheads play their first exhibition game on Monday night at the Utah Olympic Oval when they take on the Utah Grizzlies. Puck-drop is scheduled for 7pm. The game will not be broadcasted on KTIK Radio or on ECHL.TV, but fans can follow the Steelheads' Twitter account for regular updates.

Idaho Steelheads season ticket packages are now on sale for the 2016-17 season. The Steelheads Gold Club package includes all-you-can-eat food, parking, and prime seating locations for all Steelheads home games.
