
Steel Sweep NTDP (U18) with 7-3 Victory Sunday

The Steel completed a weekend sweep of USA Hockey NTDP (U18) 7-3 Sunday at Fox Valley Ice Arena Sunday afternoon...The Steel finished the regular season taking all three meetings with the U18 team, winning once in regulation, once in overtime, and once in a shootout...Chicago maintained its first place lead in the Eastern Conference standings with six games remaining in the regular season... The Steel's league-leading power play went two-for-four...USA outshot Chicago 40-36...It was the final action for the NTDP (U18) team as it heads overseas for the IIHF U18 World Championship in Switzerland beginning later this month.
Michael Hage scored his first USHL goal and notched an assist in his seventh USHL game.
Macklin Celebrini recorded two goals and two assists in the matchup. The Boston University commit's first goal was scored on the power play for his 20th power play goal of the season, breaking the franchise record for most power play goals in a season previously held by Matt Coronato (2019-2021) with 19.
Michael Hagens registered a goal and an assist in the contest. It was Hagens' ninth goal and fifth multi-point game of the season.
Anthony Dowd scored his fourth goal of the season and first since Feb. 18. In his last six games, the Arizona State University commit has four points (1G, 3A).
New York Islanders prospect Quinn Finley recorded his 21st goal of the season. In his last ten games, the University of Wisconsin commit has 10 points (3G, 7A).
Thor Byfuglien notched a goal in the contest. It was his third of the season and first since Dec. 10.
Jake Livanavage and Jayden Perron each tallied two assists. It was their eighth and 17th multi-point games of the season, respectively.
Michael Emerson, Nick Moldenhauer, Nolan Joyce, and Hunter Hady all notched an assist.
Christian Manz stopped 37 of 40 shots faced to earn his 18th win of the season.
