EDENTON, NC - Ryan Porter hit two home runs for the Steamers offense that broke out of an early season slump to defeat the Florence RedWolves 12-2 at Hicks Field. Joshua Branstetter earned his second victory of the season with five solid innings while Willi Martin took his first loss.

Florence jumped out in front in the top of the first against Branstetter after Michael Wilson struck out but was able to reach on a passed ball. After a sacrifice bunt and a single, Tony Micklon brought home Wilson with a sacrifice fly to give the RedWolves the early 1-0 lead.

The Steamers offense laid dormant until the bottom of the third when Ryan Brenner walked, stole second base and scored on a wild pitch followed by a throwing error that tied the game 1-1.
