Staten Island Yankees News Release

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.-The Staten Island Yankees fell to the Brooklyn Cyclones 11-4 on Sunday at Richmond County Bank Ballpark.

It started off well for the Baby Bombers as Mitchell Robinson gave the Yankees the lead in the first inning with a two-run double. They added another on a Brooklyn error to make it 3-0.

Isaiah Pasteur made it 4-0 on an RBI sacrifice fly in the third inning after a solid outing from Anderson Munoz on the mound. However, the bullpen did not fare as well.

Brooklyn scored a run in the sixth and then six in the seventh inning. The Cyclones were not done as they added four more in the eighth inning. Joe Genord drove in six runs during those two frames as the Cyclones batted around twice in as many innings.

The Yankees will look to bounce back in Brooklyn tomorrow as they play the Cyclones in game two of this three-game set before returning to Staten Island for the final game of the series on Tuesday at 7p.m. at Richmond County Bank Ballpark.
