Albany River Rats News Release

"On behalf of the Albany River Rats, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and payers during this difficult time for our organization. I would like to acknowledge the early responders from the Massachusetts State Police and particularly the staff at Berkshire Medical Center for their outstanding work with our players and team personnel early this morning.

"At this time we are unable to provide any further information about the extent of the injuries sustained by the players and our staff that remain at Berkshire Medical Center. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they begin the recovery process.

"Our game originally scheduled for Friday, February 20, 2009 against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:00 p.m. has been postponed and will be played at the Times Union Center on Tuesday, March 31 2009 at 7:00 p.m. We are going to give the team time to rest and heal before a final decision is made about the game scheduled to take place in Albany on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. We expect an announcement about that game to come tomorrow afternoon."
