B-Sens Sign Left Wing Benoit Doucet

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators signed today left-winger Benoit Doucet to a 25-game professional tryout agreement.

Doucet, 22, is expected to make his American Hockey League debut when the B-Sens take on the Norfolk Admirals on Friday night in Virginia.

A native of Longueuil, Que., Doucet has 14 goals, 25 assists and 51 penalty minutes in 52 games this season with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL. He also led the Jackals in points (83) and assists (52) during the 2007-08 season, and tied for the team lead with 31 goals.

The B-Sens and Admirals face off in a weekend pair at Norfolk Scope, with the puck dropping at 7:15 on both Friday and Saturday night.
