-SPIKES HEAD TO JAMESTOWN FOR TWO GAMES: The State College Spikes continue a stretch of four straight games against the Jamestown Jammers with the first game of a two-game set at Russell Diethrick Park. It is the fifth run of four or more games against the same team for the 2011 Spikes. State College is 23-32 against Jamestown all-time, and 11-17 all-time against the Jammers at Russell Diethrick Park.

-LAST GAME: Trent Stevenson allowed just two runs in five innings of work on the mound for the State College Spikes, but the Jamestown Jammers turned four double plays, leading to the Spikes' defeat on Saturday night as they dropped a 3-1 decision to the Jammers at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Stevenson took the tough-luck loss after Jamestown plated a pair of runs off of him in the first inning. However, Stevenson went on to retire 13 of the last 14 batters he faced in the outing, yielding only one more hit after the first inning for a total of five and striking out two batters.

-BENEDICT BRINGS ORDER TO MOUND: Right-hander Matt Benedict makes his team-leading tenth start of the season for the Spikes tonight. Benedict allowed a season-high eight runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out three over 3 1/3 innings in a loss to Vermont last time out. The 30th-round pick of the Pirates out of Western Carolina this year, Benedict has gone at least five innnings in four of his starts this year.

-JAMMERS SEND NEIL TO HILL TONIGHT: Jamestown right-hander Matthew Neil gets the ball tonight to begin the series. Neil is also making his tenth start of the year, and his seventh at Russell Diethrick Park. The 29th-round pick of the Marlins out of BYU this year, Neil walked onto the team in college after spending two years in New York as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Neil went seven innings in his last start.
