
Stars to Host Military Appreciation Weekend against San Jose

CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars, announced Tuesday the details of their Military Appreciation Weekend, presented by Round Rock Auto Group, this Friday and Saturday at Cedar Park Center.
As part of the organization's ongoing support of the current and former members of our armed forces, the Stars have teamed up with their fans and corporate partners to purchase more than 2,000 tickets for the games this Friday and Saturday against the San Jose Barracuda. That group includes:

The tickets purchased will be given to local service members, veterans and their families to show appreciation for all the sacrifices these brave men and women have made for our country. The Texas Lottery will also be issuing a limited number of gift bags each night to military guests that include a scratch-off ticket, a Texas Lottery hat, t-shirt and small cooler bag.
The Stars' players will wear special camouflage jerseys for the weekend and will auction off the game-worn jerseys to benefit the Texas Stars Foundation. The silent auction runs from the beginning of Friday's game through the end of the second intermission on Saturday night. At the conclusion of Saturday's game, the winner of each jersey auction will receive their newly purchased game-worn jersey off the players' back and autographed. Fans can also purchase military-themed autographed Mystery Pucks as well as Texas Stars Challenge Coins for a $20 donation at the Foundation table during both games.
The festivities begin Friday night as the Stars welcome the San Jose Barracuda for a 7:30 p.m. faceoff at Cedar Park Center on a Fun Food Friday featuring $3 beer, chicken tenders and flatbreads, plus $4 Robert Mondavi Private Selection Wine. Fans can also purchase a Texas Stars Two-Pack to the game and save $12 on a pair of tickets. In addition to the regular Military Appreciation festivities, the Central Texas VA Healthcare System will be hosting a Welcome Home Veterans event during Friday's game, with a Mobile Vet Center outside the East entrance of Cedar Park Center, and information on Veterans' services located on the Northwest concourse.
Saturday night features a Stars camouflage hat giveaway, courtesy of Round Rock Auto Group, as the Stars and Barracuda face off again at 7 p.m. Saturday's game is also a Coke Zero Family Four Pack Night and a Texas Lottery Lucky Row Night. Fans can purchase four tickets, hot dogs and soft drinks starting at $16 per person, and can watch for their chance to win scratch-off tickets from the Texas Lottery when the first Stars player scores a goal.
The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars and currently in their seventh season at Cedar Park Center.
