Tuesday, Mar. 29 - PENGUINS 4 vs. Springfield 3

It didn't take long for Dustin Jeffrey to offer a warm welcome to his former team, as he put up three points (1G-2A) in his first game against the Springfield Falcons since an NHL trade deadline deal brought him back to the Penguins organization.

Saturday, Apr. 2 - PENGUINS 2 vs. Bridgeport 5

STAR WARS night at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza took a turn to the dark side as the Sound Tigers' Adam Quine netted his first AHL hat trick en route to a win on the Penguins' home ice. Dominik Simon scored his 22nd goal of the season, tied for third-most among all AHL rookies.

Sunday, Apr. 3 - PENGUINS 3 vs. Portland 5

Defenseman Niclas Andersén skated in his 500th professional game as the Penguins dropped back-to-back home games for the first time since Feb. 13, 14.

The Week Ahead

Friday, Apr. 8 - PENGUINS vs. Lehigh Valley

The Phantoms visit Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza for the final time this season. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton owns a 6-3-1-1 record against Lehigh Valley, and the Penguins capped off a three-goal third period comeback with a 6-5 OT win in these two clubs' last meeting.

Saturday, Apr. 9 - PENGUINS at Hershey

A big back-to-back, home and home clash between the top two teams in the Atlantic Division kicks off Saturday night at Giant Center, where the Penguins skated to a 6-5 OT victory in their last visit.

Sunday, Apr. 10 - PENGUINS vs. Hershey

The Bears and Penguins go at it once again, this time in a Sunday matinée at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza.

Ice Chips

- Carter Rowney was named CCM/AHL Player of the Month for March. Rowney put forth seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points in March, including a career high nine-game point streak, his first AHL hat trick on Mar. 6, and signed his first NHL contract on Mar. 9.

- Jake Guentzel became the seventh Penguin this season to score his first AHL goal with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (Niclas Andersén, Dominik Simon, Oskar Sundqvist, Clark Seymour, Jarrett Burton, Adam Krause).

- Niclas Andersén is the one of only two players on Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's roster to play in 500 pro games. The other is Tom Kostopoulos with 1,241 career games to his name.
