
Stars Sweep Season Series against Hustle

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - The Salt Lake City Stars collected their second consecutive win over the Memphis Hustle with a 113-110 victory on Saturday night at Landers Center. With the win, the Stars completed a three-game regular season series sweep over the Hustle.
Salt Lake City was led by Willie Reed, who tallied 20 points on 9-of-15 (.600) shooting to go with eight rebounds. Trevon Bluiett and Mike Scott led all reserves with 19 points apiece. Utah Jazz two-way player Justin Wright-Foreman added 16 points, while Isaac Haas grabbed 12 points and nine rebounds.
Memphis was paced by Dusty Hannahs, who posted a game-high 24 points. Shaq Buchanan posted 22 points, a season-high 18 rebounds and six assists, and Marquis Teague collected 18 points, six assists and two steals.
The Stars built an eight-point advantage (25-17) in the opening frame, but Memphis outscored Salt Lake City 31-24 in the second quarter to cut the Stars' lead to one-point (49-48) at halftime. Salt Lake City held Memphis to 2-of-21 (.095) from beyond the arc in the first three quarters and carried a three-point advantage (83-80) into the final frame. The Stars pushed their lead to 11 points (102-91) in the fourth quarter, but the Hustle went on a 15-4 run to tie the game at 106-all with 1:54 left to play. Salt Lake City outscored Memphis 7-4 down the stretch and ultimately earned the three-point victory.
The Western Conference-leading Stars will return to Salt Lake City to commence a three-game homestand on Monday, March 2 against the South Bay Lakers (LA Lakers affiliate). The game tips off at 7 p.m. (MT) at Vivint Smart Home Arena and will be streamed live on NBAGLeague.com.
