Lincoln Stars News Release

Lincoln, Neb. - The Stars announced their 23-man roster on Tuesday afternoon, introducing 12 fresh faces to the lineup, including former USNDTP defenseman Christian Evers, Canadian forward Adam Brady and Finnish goalie Patrik Virtanen.

The newest additions make the Stars considerably larger than last season with 15 players 6'0" or taller.

Lincoln will expect contributions from its 12 returners, as well as from forwards Ethen Frank and Dominic Mersch who will re-join the Stars after playing a combined five games at the end of the 2014-2015 season.

"This is team that me and Jon selected and it was hand picked for a reason," coach Chris Hartsburg said. "We're happy with our depth up front and our size and mobility on the back end."

The Stars return three of their top five scorers from last season in Biagio Lerario, Patrick Polino and Ludvig Hoff, while Dylan Woolf and Ryan Jones will add a veteran presence to the blue line.

Defenseman Luke Jaycox will start the season on the injured reserve - rendering him unable to play or occupy a roster spot until October 30th.
