DUBUQUE, Iowa - Dubuque Fighting Saints general manager Jason Lammers has announced the 23-man roster for the upcoming 2015-16 season.

12 new additions join 11 returning Fighting Saints from the 2014-15 season. Among the new members of the team is scoring dynamo Charlie Combs, who broke out for five goals in the preseason. The St. Louis, Mo. native scored four goals in two games during the Iowa Classic. Combs tallied the game-winning goal against Sioux City on Saturday, and the game-tying goal against Des Moines on Friday.

The team's imports include Petter Makitalo, who posted two goals, and Michael O'Leary, a Canadian who led the team with five assists during the preseason.

The Fighting Saints return plenty of offensive firepower up front. Double-digit goal scorers Evan and Mitchell Smith, Willie Knierim, Nathan Sucese and Shane Kavanagh take to the ice for Dubuque, looking to lead an infusion of young talent.

On the defensive side of the puck, Detroit Red Wings draft pick Patrick Holway and puck-moving defensemen Casey Johnson, Keegan Mantaro and Joey Keane join the refreshed blue line for the 2015-16 season. They will work alongside returners Andrew Kerr, Spenser Young and Keegan Ford.

British Columbia Hockey League all-star Hunter Miska and new Arizona State University commit Jaxon Castor are set as the tandem in goal.

The regular season, presented by American Trust, will begin on Saturday, September 26 as the Dubuque Fighting Saints take on the Madison Capitols at 7:05 p.m. at the Mystique Community Ice Center. The first 3,000 fans that enter the building will receive a magnet schedule, courtesy American Trust.
