Salt Lake City Stars News Release

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars, the NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, will host back-to-back home games this week on Feb. 15 and Feb. 16 at Bruin Arena at Salt Lake Community College in Taylorsville. Both games are scheduled for a 7 p.m. tipoff.

On Tuesday night, Feb. 15, the Stars will welcome the South Bay Lakers (Los Angeles Lakers affiliate) to Bruin Arena. The game, sponsored by MedOne, is a rescheduled game, originally set for Dec. 27, rescheduled to Feb. 17 and later moved to Feb. 15.

All tickets purchased and held for the Dec. 27 and Feb. 17 games will be honored for the rescheduled game on Feb. 15. No action is required for ticket holders.

Fans with additional questions may contact the Stars Ticket Office (by call or text) at (801) 325-STAR (7827).

On Wednesday, Feb. 16, the Stars will host the Austin Spurs (San Antonio Spurs affiliate) in the second game of a back-to-back set, presented by Instructure. The Feb. 16 matchup will mark the first time the Spurs have traveled to Salt Lake City since Dec. 28, 2019.

Stars center Marques Bolden returned to the lineup during the team's recent four-game road trip. The former Cleveland Cavaliers big man will play his first home game for the Stars since Jan. 10, after missing time with an ankle injury.

Bolden will join fellow Stars big men Derrick Alston Jr., Yoeli Childs and Nino Johnson, who is expected to return to the lineup this week and will give the Stars a formattable four-man frontcourt rotation.

"We have a tremendous amount of depth with our bigs," said Stars head coach Nathan Peavy. "We have a lot of size and strength down low, and I think that is really going to help us out on the offensive and defensive ends when teams try to play in the paint."

In the month of February, Derrick Alston Jr. (four games) has averaged 23.8 points and 5.8 rebounds a game, while shooting 48.5 percent from the field. Yoeli Childs (five games) has averaged 20.6 points, 11.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per contest, while shooting 66.7 percent from the floor.

The Stars will feature their new frontcourt rotation in front of their home crowd this week. Tickets for the Stars and Lakers game on Feb. 15, as well as the Stars and Spurs game on Feb. 16 are available at slcstars.com or by phone (via call or text) at (801) 325-STAR (7827).
