GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Grand Rapids Gold (9-7) battled shooting woes in a loss against the Long Island Nets (11-8) with a final score of 115-86. The Gold shot only 34.8% (32-92) from the field compared to 48.9% (43-88) for Long Island.
The Long Island Nets had solid performances across the roster. Tyrone Wallace earned a game-high 27 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Brandon Rachal tallied 21 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Bryce Brown followed up with 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Jordan Bowden earned 14 points and 3 rebounds. Thon Maker hustled up another 13 points and 8 rebounds. Craig Randal II added a triple-double to the Net's stat line with 11 rebounds, 11 assists and 10 points.
Grand Rapids Gold guard Quade Green racked up a team-high 19 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Matt Ryan followed up with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. Nik Stauskas added another 11 points to go along with 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Giorgi Bezhanishvili contributed 10 points and 4 rebounds.
