
Santa Cruz Bounces Back and Beats Iowa, 119-113

DES MOINES, IA - The Santa Cruz Warriors (7-10) defeated the Iowa Wolves (8-7) on Valentine's Day, 119-113, and finished their road trip 2-1.
The game was tied, 48-48, entering the final two minutes of the second quarter before the Warriors closed the half on a 11-3 run to go into the break leading, 59-52.
Santa Cruz was able to extend their lead to as many as 15 points in the third quarter and entered the final frame leading, 90-78. The Wolves cut the lead to two points, 113-111, in the final 75 seconds but the Warriors locked down on defense and forced the Wolves to foul the rest of the way in the Warriors victory.
Santa Cruz committed a season-low seven turnovers in the win. The Warriors were led by guard Jerome Robinson's 25 points (9-19 FG). Guard Kalob Ledoux found his groove behind the arc and finished the night with 22 points (4-11 3FG). Center Selom Mawugbe scored in double figures for the first time this season (10 points).
The Iowa Wolves were led by forward Vincent Edwards' 25 points, five rebounds and five assists. Center Chris Silva followed closely with 22 points and 15 rebounds.
