Stars Fall to Tri-City in Season Opener

Lincoln, Neb. - The Lincoln Stars fell, 3-1, to the Tri-City Storm in their season opener on Friday in the Ice Box.

Linus Weissbach helped the Storm to a 1-0 lead at 15:14 of the first when he fired a low-to-high pass by the glove of Stars goalie Cayden Primeau.

The Stars trailed 1-0 at the first intermission.

Monte Graham and Wyllum Deveaux added goals in the second to give Tri-City a 3-0 lead after 40 minutes.

Lincoln broke through halfway through the third period when Chayse Primeau capitalized on a shorthanded breakaway for his first USHL goal.

Cayden Primeau finished with 28 saves.

The Stars host the Des Moines Buccaneers on Friday, Sept. 30 at the Ice Box. Individual tickets are now on sale.
