HUNTSVILLE, Ala.- The Huntsville Stars (34-34) scored four of the last five runs of the game to defeat the Biscuits (35-31) 6-4 and end any hopes of a first half championship for Montgomery Friday night at Joe W. Davis Stadium.

With a BayBears win earlier Friday evening, the Biscuits needed to win-out to still have a chance at jumping Mobile in the standings. Montgomery's loss sealed the BayBears' first-half championship in the South.

The Biscuits took a 3-2 lead into the fifth inning. With two runners in scoring position and one out, the Stars' RBI leader Hunter Morris drilled a single to right field to plate both runners and give Huntsville a 4-3 lead. The Stars would never trail again, tacking on two more runs in the sixth. The Biscuits scored a single run in the seventh.

Montgomery claimed their lead in the second inning. Ryan Garko led off the frame with a home run to right field. Mark Thomas would later add a two-run double to push the Biscuits out in front 3-1.

Jimmy Nelson (1-0) got the win in his double-A debut, tossing five innings and allowing three runs on five hits and five walks. Kyle Lobstein (3-3) picked up the loss after allowing four runs, only three earned, on five hits in five innings. It is the first time Lobstein has lost since April.

The Biscuits will play game four with the Stars Saturday at 6:43. RHP Joe Cruz will start for Montgomery while Huntsville will send RHP Kyle Heckathorn to the mound.
