Stars Begin Weekend Tripleheader in Kearney Thursday

The Lincoln Stars will play their third-of-five weekend tripleheaders over the next three days as they face the Tri-City Storm, the Omaha Lancers and then the Storm again. It all begins Thursday night in Kearney at 7:05, continues in Ralston at 7:05 on Friday and concludes on Saturday at the Ice Box at 6:05.

This is the third time in the last five weekends that the Stars will play three games in three days. The stretch began Dec. 8-10 when the Fargo Force came to Lincoln and took two-of-three games against the Stars. Most recently, Lincoln swept a weekend tripleheader with a pair of wins against Omaha and then a New Year's Eve triumph over Tri-City.

This weekend presents another opportunity for the Stars to move up the standings as they sit in sixth place, holding the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The next team ahead of them in the standings is the Storm, who are seven points ahead. Lincoln is 2-2 against both Tri-City and Omaha.

Saturday's game is Star Wars Night at the Ice Box. The Stars will be wearing specialty Star Wars uniforms that fans can bid on at a postgame jersey auction. Fans can also purchase a Star Wars Pack to get four tickets and two lightsabers for $75.
