Former Gamblers Head Coach Jon Cooper Wins 500th NHL Game
January 10, 2024 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Green Bay Gamblers News Release
Overall, Coach Cooper has a 500-267-72 record in the regular season. Outside of the partial 2012-13 season when he took over for Guy Boucher, Cooper has never had a team finish below the .500 mark. Coop required the third-fewest games to hit the mark in NHL history with only Scotty Bowman (825 games) and Bruce Boudreau (837 games) needing fewer. He did it in 839 games, which is the fewest anyone has needed to do it with one franchise.
Cooper coached the Gamblers from 2008 through 2010.
