Lancers Look to Build off of a 3-Game Win Streak against Three Western Conference Foes

OMAHA, NE. - The Omaha Lancers are coming off an exciting week after sweeping the defending Clark Champions while on their home ice in Youngstown. The Lancers will look to build off of that starting Thursday night (1/11) at Liberty First Credit Union Arena. The Lancers and Sioux City Musketeers have been neck and neck in their last 4 meetings; with each of those games being decided by just one goal. The Lancers will then follow up with another home game against the Lincoln Stars Friday Night (1/12). This will be the 175th meeting between the Lancers and Stars in the regular season during the tier one era (Since 2002-03). Omaha will then round out its three-game header Saturday Night (1/13) on the road against the Sioux Falls Stampede. The Lancers have a higher winning percentage (63%) against the 'Herd in the regular season during the tier one era than against any other Western Conference team.

OMAHA VS. SIOUX CITY SO FAR

The last time these two teams met, the Lancers were able to prevail in a 4-3 overtime victory on New Year's Eve. Overall Sioux City and Omaha have been in many close games over the years. Since 2002 the Lancers have outscored Sioux City 429-410. Thursday Night's game (1/11) will be the final home game against the Musketeers this season.

OMAHA VS. LINCOLN SO FAR

The Lancers will resume the 'Cold War' Friday Night (1/12) where they will look to avenge its last two losses to the Stars in which each of them came by way of just one goal. Since 2003 in the month of January, the Lancers have been impressive against the Lincoln Stars; with the Lancers holding a head-to-head record 25-9-2-0. The Lancers will seek their 100th regular season win over the Stars in the tier one era.

OMAHA VS. SIOUX FALLS SO FAR

The Lancers will conclude its 3-game weekend Saturday Night (1/13) on the road in South Dakota to take on the Sioux Falls Stampede. The Lancers will look to continue its historic success against the Stampede. As an example of that success, the Lancers have not been shutout by Sioux Falls since January of 2003. The Lancers have controlled Sioux Falls overall in the month of January; holding a 14-7-1-1 record.
