
Stanley Cup to visit Mercer County

TRENTON, NJ (November 16, 2005) - The Trenton Titans announced on Wednesday that the Stanley Cup will be traveling to various locations throughout Mercer County in New Jersey and Bucks County in Pennsylvania on Friday, November 18.
The Stanley Cup has been touring the cities of 20 ECHL teams since October 26 and up through December 17 to help raise money for hurricane relief efforts. All proceeds will benefit charities assisting in hurricane relief efforts including, but not limited to, the Red Cross, Salvation Army, and United Way. This tour is another addition to the National Hockey League's charitable efforts, which have included a joint donation with the NHL Players' Association of $1 million to the Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina relief.
Fans will have a chance to see the Stanley Cup at the following locations and times: Trenton Marriott at Lafayette Yard in Trenton, NJ from 12:00pm to 1:30pm; Hooters of Princeton in Lawrenceville, NJ from 2:00pm to 3:00pm; Uno 's Chicago Grill in Langhorne, PA from 3:30pm to 4:30pm; at Sovereign Bank Arena during the Trenton Titans game against the Wheeling Nailers at 7:00pm; and Sticky Wicket in Hamilton Township, NJ following the game.
The "Keeper of the Cup" from the Hockey Hall of Fame also will be available to answer questions and talk about the history of hockey. Fans will have the opportunity to have their photograph taken with the Stanley Cup and make a monetary donation towards hurricane relief.

The Trenton Titans are a member of the ECHL - North America's Premier "AA" Hockey League. The Trenton Titans are the ECHL affiliate to the Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia Phantoms and the New York Islanders and Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
