Stamps sign pair of defensive backs

(Calgary) – Today Calgary Stampeders' General Manager and Head Coach Matt Dunigan announced the free agent signing of defensive back Donnie Cochran and Will Warren.

"Both of these defensive backs add a great deal of value to our team. They are young athletes who hold a very bright future and we look forward to seeing them compete in training camp" stated General Manager and Head Coach Matt Dunigan.

Donnie played his college ball at Grossmont College ... in 2003 he was named pre-season All-American playing in 9 games recording 42 defensive tackles, 4 interceptions with one being ran back for a touchdown including 2 force fumbles ... in 2001 he played in 8 games.

In 2002 Will played at Washington State University ... the previous season he played at the University of Idaho ... he also had a stint at Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California ... while playing in his 2nd season there Will was named pre-season All American.

High School

In 1998 Will was named 1st team All Dream team ... while in '97 he was named 1st Team Press Telegram both of these seasons were with Long Beach Wilson.

Noteworthy

Will also excelled at track competing in the 4 x 100, triple jumb and long jumb.
