May 2, 2019 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
Calgary Stampeders News Release

The Calgary Stampeders are ready to participate in the 14th annual Hike for Hospice this Sunday at Sikome Lake in Fish Creek Provincial Park.

Newly appointed player representative Ryan Sceviour will be joined by president and general manager John Hufnagel, Stamps alumnus Rob Cote, members of the Stampeders Outriders and Ralph the Dog.

Check-in and pre-Hike activities - including light refreshments, face painting, a photo booth and kids zone - begin at 9 a.m. Opening ceremonies get under way at 10 a.m. and the Hike will start at 10:30 a.m.

"As the team's new player representative for Hospice Calgary, I'm proud to be participating in my first Hike for Hospice," says Sceviour. "It's a great initiative for our entire organization to support and yet another way for us to give back to the community. I look forward to meeting everyone on the day of the Hike."

This year's 5-km walk aims to raise $100,000 for Hospice Calgary and supports individuals and families whose lives are transformed by a life-threatening illness or the death of someone close to them.
